The Fairfax Hunt Races

The Fairfax Hunt Races will be held at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA.

Entries can be made at the Central Entry Office by calling 703-777-2575.

Directions to Morven Park's Equestrian Center: Located one mile north of the town of Leesburg off Route 15 on Route 740 (Tutt Lane). Turn onto Route 740 (Tutt Lane), go 1/2 mile - entrance on left.

Race Day Information:

Gates open at 11:30 a.m. Races will run rain or shine. No refunds.

What to Expect on Race Day: Will it be your first time at the Races? Wondering what to bring or wear? (click here for all the details)

Parking Spaces: Approximately 24' x 12' will accommodate about 20 guests and one car. Caterers will be given access to the space for set up, then directed to special parking. Caterers will then be allowed access afterward for take down.

Tailgate Competition: Prizes will be awarded in three judging categories: Professionally Catered, Hunt Country Chic, and Down Home. Do it yourself or have it done. Put out the good silver, flowers, and stuffed foxes. Or kick back, make it fun and casual.

Course Walk: Join an experienced jockey as he explains how the races are ridden and how the horses and jockeys jump at speed. Begins promptly at noon.

Vendors Row: Food and merchandise vendors will be on hand. No time to pack your own picnic? No problem. Food vendors will be available. Looking for a little diversion between races? Check out the merchandise offerings.

Stick Horse Race: Let the kids imagine the thrill of galloping over the Morven Park course, mounted on a spirited stick horse. Fun for everyone!

Tents: NO PRIVATE TENTS. Tent spaces will be available only on Terrace Level and Hospitality Hill. Tents must be ordered by calling 703-957-4633, or on the Reply Card, by April 1, 2008. 10' x 10' - $250; 15' x 15' - $350; 20' x 20' - $550. No soliciting. Proper attire and behavior requested. All attendees shall hold the Fairfax Race Association, Fairfax Hunt, its sponsors and beneficiaries, Morven Park and Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation harmless for any damage, loss or accident.
